Exploring Governance, Accountability, and the Conditions for AI to Create Sustainable Human and Business Value
Objective
The research will examine the potential roles of governance, accountability, leadership, operational design, ownership, and trust, without assuming that any single governance model or approach is universally appropriate.

- what alternative approaches may be needed as AI capabilities and Human-AI collaboration continue to evolve
The purpose is not to validate a predetermined governance model, but to develop practical, evidence-based insight for leaders navigating complex AI decisions.
Governance may be an essential enabler in some contexts, insufficient in others, and potentially restrictive when designed around outdated assumptions. The Lab exists to explore these questions rather than begin with a predetermined answer.

Michael Herkommer chairs the Executive Research & Strategic Foresight Lab and leads its research programmes within the founding vision, global mission, and governance of AI Game Changers Club.
He brings extensive experience across AI, risk, governance, operational accountability, and strategic transformation. Based in Zurich, he advises senior executives and boards on AI governance and the conditions under which AI-supported decisions can be trusted at scale.
As Co-Founder and CIO of Riskovate Advisory and Zurich Chapter Chair of AI Game Changers Club, Michael contributes practical insight into how governance can enable responsible innovation, where it may create friction, and what alternative approaches different organisational and societal contexts may require.
